Our Impact
119
scholarships awarded since 2016.
100%

Our extraordinary success is due to students’ resilience and perseverance, our funders’ steadfast commitment, and comprehensive support from S.H.E. staff in academia, mental health and well-being, and learning to navigate life. Despite the threat of harmful traditional practices and unrelenting family pressure, these determined young women beat the odds and earn certificates, diplomas or degrees from accredited public and private institutions in Kenya.
88%
of S.H.E. graduates are earning a living, as compared to 30% of new graduates nationwide.

The ultimate marker of success: S.H.E. graduates fully leverage their college education and secure formal employment or start their own business. We support S.H.E. students with enrichment programs on job readiness and career counseling. We celebrate every employment milestone, and applaud graduates who start small businesses that thrive.
